The Ladies 1st Team retained the Cheshire Ladies League 1st Division title, winning the\u00a0Championship with a match to spare. The team needed just one point on monday night against Village Warrington, who had inflicted the 1st Team’s solitary defeat of the season in the reverse fixture. On that occasion Warrington were led by the most promising British junior since James Willstrop, Emily Whitlock. However, this time they had a much weakened lineup and resounding victory of 19-2 ensured the title would remain at Grove Park.\u00a0 This is the first time they have one back to back titles since 1978\/79 (which i’m sure you all remember).
