Grove Park Junior Open 2016 will run on Saturday 19th March. It’s an England Squash Bronze Sanctioned event for Boys and Girls in U17, U15, U13 and U11 age groups.Driven by our Head Coach, Thomas Fairhurst, the junior section has been a big success story for the club in recent years. To capitalise on this and to give some of our ‘up and coming’ juniors an opportunity to play at a higher competive level, we will be running an open tournament.
The tournament objective is ‘to provide an enjoyable and positive experience of junior squash for all players and guests in a friendly and sociable environment’.
We have got together with our tournament partners, Tecnifibre & Salming to provide free high quality branded items to every compititor.

To supplement our main coaching sessions on a saturday afternoons, from 7th February we’ll introducing a new session at 3pm on Sundays. We have also recently successfully and a new Grove Park Potential Squash Academy. It’s an invite only academy for juniors at Grove Park who have demonstrated enthusiasm for squash, a willingness to improve and good behaviour at squash sessions.
The Junior teams have also rapidly expanded from 3 teams last season to this season entering 7 teams in the Greater Manchester Squash League in the under 12, 15 & 17 age groups.
